So, a whole lot of nothing happened and then this big, awesome took place.

From what I can grasp from this article at Variety (http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118024144.html?categoryId=19&cs=1) and the one from THR (located here: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/world/news/e3i29f492889037dafd94bb371176144d06) David was picked to be one of the 10 screenwriters to tour parts of France this year by the Film France Commission. Long story short, they want these guys to film in France. Not only film there…but write things that are specific to locations there as opposed to writing about Ireland and filming in French city.

I think this is a great idea. In fact, being a much less successful screenwriter myself, I think I should be convinced to film in France too. You know, for when I am working with a budget that will allow for that. Just sayin’…

In anycase, I was so excited about David going oversees that I thought there would be a chance that this could be opened to the public–his fans–but  it’s not.

BUT here’s some cool news: There is a blog for Unlimited Access France (http://franceunlimited.blogspot.com), the program wining and dining the screenwriters, and it looks as if they have video from the trip last year’s chosen scribes took!
